Tally 7.2 To Tally 9 Migration Tool

You may follow these steps, to migrate tally 7.2 to tally 9.
Just open your company data in Tally 9.0, and you will see a message that says 'Rewrite Version?' Then, press the 'Y' or 'Enter' button. Your dat a will then be transferred from 7.2 to 9.0. 2: Just open Tally 9.0 and press Alt+Clt+R (It's an option for rewriting the company). Then, locate your 7.2 data destination and press 'Enter'. In Tally.ERP 9 Data Migration Tool screen, select Yes to begin the data migration. The “Types of Masters” and “Types of Vouchers” that should be migrated from Tally 7.2 are displayed in the Migration Information screen.
Step 1
a. Click the tally migration icon to start the migration.
b. Tally Data Migration and Tally 9 start simultaneously, in separate screens.

c. As soon as Tally 9 is loaded, the message ‘Ready for Migration’ displays in the Migration Messages Pane.
d. Click the Migrate Data option to select the company whose data is to be migrated from Tally 7.2 to Tally 9.
e. Specify the data path in the Directory field.
f. On selecting the company, the company is loaded.
g. To continue with the migration, press Enter.
h. Accept to migrate the selected company. In the Migration Information screen on the left hand side,you can view the Types of Masters and Vouchers to be migrated from Tally 7.2.
i. During the migration from Tally 7.2 to 9, the status of the migration appears in the screen on the right hand side, which displays the number of Masters and Vouchers that have migrated to Tally 9. When the migration is complete, an Information pop-up message will appear.
j. On pressing any key, a Congratulations message appears.
